Docket No. FAA-2011-0917; Directorate Identifier 2011-NM-157-AD Please see below our comment on the published FAA AD 2011-19-01: AIRBUS operational procedures request the flight crew to turn off GEN and not the IDG. AIRBUS requests FAA to reconsider the phrases of the AD text for better clarity and understanding of operators. For example, in the paragraph (h) and (k) of the AD the phrase “If a GEN is selected OFF by the flightcrew in accordance with the TR...” could be used instead of the current phrase “If an IDG is shut down by the flight crew in accordance with the TR...”.
