The MLG actuator is a life limited item; its limit is listed in AMM Chapter 4 – FAA approved Airworthiness Limitations, based on landings. As a consequence, most of P180 operators take note of landing accrued by the actuator. For operators with a higher flight hours/landing ratio (more than 1), the AD compliance limit presented in FH would be more stringent than required. On the contrary, for operators with a lower flight hours/landing ratio, the AD compliance limit presented in FH would be relaxed with reference to the referenced Service Bulletin. I suggest to modify the actuator replacement compliance times as follow: “before affected MLG actuators reach 3000 landings, replace ….; only if landings data are not available, replace the affected actuator before 3000 FH TIS ….” or similar statement.
