I support this notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM). I feel it should be put into effect for the following reasons: it will ensure safety of all airline passengers and it is more cost effective in the long run.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) should adopt the Airworthiness Directives (AD) for these particular planes to ensure public safety. Public safety is a primary concern of the FAA and these circuit breaker panel issues are causing smoke in the cockpit that could be hazardous to passengers and cause damage to the plane. Repairing this issue now will be more cost effective than repairing any potentially significant damage to the planes this issue might cause.
This NPRM is a good idea in the interest of public safety and does not appear to impose an undue financial burden on the operators of the listed aircraft therefore, I support this NPRM.
