This is comment on Proposed Rule

Airworthiness Directives: Boeing Co. Airplanes

View Comment

United Airlines has two 777-200ER aircraft affected by this proposed rule but neither of them has been modified yet. Kits are on order so there is no concern with meeting the 60 month deadline. However, Boeing has indicated in S/B 777-25-01482 IN 01 dated June 30, 2011, that the service bulletin calls for the wrong hardware in some locations. As Air France pointed out, a revision to the service bulletin is scheduled for Feb. 23, 2012. United requests that the proposed rule reflect the revised service bulletin to avoid having to request an AMOC.
