1. Like to ask the FAA to include cost for rework or replacement of AWM towards the total cost. Rework of AWM would cost $4,136 and, when required, replacement would cost $33,576 each. In our case, cost for modification and replacement on the AWM alone would amount to $1.5 million dollars. This amount would increase the industry cost estimate by more than 10%. The increase will be even greater considering similar cost for the other affected airplanes.
2. Like to ask the FAA to refer to the upcoming release of SB revision as service information. We believe reference SB revision 0 contains an error on page 59. Step "at" already told operators to close certain C/B for Group 15. Yet step "au" told operators to close the same C/B but at different location for the same group. Boeing has revision 1 of the SB in work for release in early February.
