AD 2012-03-51 Lockheed has been carried out with nil defects evident. Aircraft details: Lockheed Neptune SP2H(P2V7) Serial Number 273 (Manufactured 1962) Australian Civil Aircraft Registration: VH-IOY Aircraft Total Time in Service: 5869.8 hours Total Landings: 331 The aircraft has been issued a Special Certificate of Airworthiness BN/00177/01 (22Feb1999). Operational Category: Limited Category (Australian) Purpose: Exhibiting an ex-military and historic aircraft There has been no abnormal ground or flight loads, heavy landings or lightning strikes on the aircraft. The aircraft is operated by the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Inc (HARS) from the Illawarra Regional Airport (Albion Park Rail NSW) facilities. The aircraft is primarily operated for display at airshows and for exhibition only. The aircraft is always hangared and maintained to a system of maintenance by licensed HARS volunteers. The aircraft averages 10+ hours annually and undergoes a Maintenance Release Inspection annually (12 months) or 50 hours, whichever is the earlier.
