United Airlines is currently participating with the Boeing Corporation in Validating the Service Bulletin 737-30A1063 which is under this NPRM. The proposed compliance time noted in this NPRM is 24 months, and United Airlines currently has 207 Aircraft which will be required to complete this modification. This comprises approximately 20% of all 1025 Aircraft listed. When taking into account the lead time and processing time associated with obtaining 207 Modification Kits from Boeing and modifying 207 P5-9 panels not including spares, United Airlines would request that the FAA consider increasing the compliance time of this proposed AD to account for the full scope of work needed.
