SWA has reviewed a preliminary copy of Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 737-30A1063 Revision 1. Both that revision and the initial released of Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 737-30A1063 do not give instructions for, or account for man hours to perform, the removal and reinstallation of Lavatory A and Galley #1. These items must be removed in order to access wire runs W2218, W3381, W5510, and W6134 mandated by the Service Bulletin. The additional work driven by this would account for 32 additional man hours not represented in the Service Bulletin and cost analysis in the NPRM.
Given the additional man power not accounted for in the Service Bulletin, a compliance time of 24 months is unrealistic. This will drive aircraft into an unscheduled maintenance visit lasting up to four days that is outside of their heavy maintenance cycle.
