Having the proposed decommissioning of the Travis VHF Omni-Directional Radio Range (VOR) will be a benefit for our military station at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA. Since it will be able to provide our military with better protection of your skies from threats from above since it is it extending Travis AFB extending from the 4.3-mile radius of the airport to 5.6 miles southwest of Travis AFB. Since our Air force men and women stationed at Travis AFB will be able to also use the extended 1.3miles of there for training simulations. But having the VOR Radio remove will effect commercial aircraft that get too the DNF (Do not Fly Zone) since they will have to update the GPS in all commercial and private aircraft flying into LAX or Los Angles area.
