The proposed amendment of class E Airspace at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA, is proposing that the decommissioning of one of one of their VHF Omni-Directional Radio Range (VOR) which will be a benefit for our Airforce station at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA. Since it will be able to provide our military with better protection of our skies from threats from above because; with the decommissioning would actually be an improvement since it will extend Travis AFB by extending its previous radius from the 4.3-mile of the airport to 5.6 miles radius around Travis AFB. This radius increase of 1.3 miles will be an overall benefit to military and people that are a strong supporter of keep this country safe from threats that either domestic or national. Since the increase of the radius will also help the Military because they will be able to execute military exercises/practice missions without interfering with commercial aircraft in the airspace region. But one con of having the VHF Omni-Directional Radio Range (VOR) remove may affect commercial/private aircraft that get too close to Travis AFB if they imply a DNF (Do Not Fly Zone) because of the recent increase in the radius of their airspace. This would just require a simple, but tedious update to all the commercial/private aircraft flight plan and GPS (Global Position Satellite). Overall the proposed Amendment of Class E Airspace should pass because changing the flight path for aircraft is not that hard to do since aircraft do it all the time, just it is only tedious to the Pilot and the passengers in aircraft.
