TUIfly notes that the NRPM has been revised to reflect applicability to ALL 737-600/-700/-800/-900. We concur the stabilizers can be replaced throughout the fleet, even if we haven't replaced any in 15 years. Hence all 737-NG are to be inspected to find discrepant parts. However there are aicraft out of the effectivity range of SB 737-55-1090, e.g. with line number greater than 1556, which have stabilizers installed with a serial number starting with "SAIC" out of production. For TUIfly those are approximalety one third of our fleet. SB 737-55-1090 called out "After line number 1556 the manufacturing process was changed to prevent further occurrences of an unclamped condition between horizontal stabilizer and rear spar termination fitting." It is our understanding these stabilizers do not have the noted discrepancy and hence dot require inspections. Therefore TUIfly feels the discrepant stabilizers requiring inspection should be identified by serial number or e.g.a serial number range.
