FAA Docket No. FAA–2012–0433 and Airspace Docket No. 12–AAL–5, I wish the public comment period about this would have been longer, as this represents quite a wild change to the reality of the Anchorage Airspace and I am now forced to comment while traveling, quite difficult! Nevertheless, I am definitively against a change of the existing structure. This New Class D airspace should not become a reality as it will even more restirct and complicate flight in the Anchorage bowl. Planes Transitioning East from ANC and MRI towards BCV and PAQ etc will have to switch frequency even more and will thus have less time to listen to the MRI and other airports long AWOS and ASOS and they will also have less time to transmitt their position on the area frequency for collision avoidance. The Biggest middair collision risk is in the confined route between the mountains and the Military airspace, especially after leaving the MRI frequency and after passing Fire Lake. Dealing with yet another tower in that confined space with lots of traffic will Not improve safety, it will reduce it since You dont have time to look for traffic while dealing with the radio and the tower while flying the route in its uncontrolled parts. This plan here with the Class D also opens the potential for a future expansion of the military airspace and blocking of the VFR traffic transitioning. Will this New Class D airspace also bring the UAV`s, Drones into this area??? Alaska has 82% of its villages off the roadsystem, we are the only state where GA is absolutely Vital and Provides essential services. We cant loose yet more airspace. The passage through the corridor along the highway and the mountains needs to stay open. I am against the change to a news class D airspace. Best Regards, Lars Gleitsmann
