The wording of this proposed AD in paragraph (d)(1) indicates that
"magnetic plug/chip detector" will thereafter be written as "magnetic plug", and subparagraphs (i), (ii), and (iii) follow that definition.
Paragraph (d)(2) follows with a 10 hour inspection interval for the
"magnetic plug", which now includes "magnetic plug/chip detector" by definition of the previous paragraph.
Both the EASA AD No. 2011-0091 and Eurocopter ASB BO105-10-125 Rev 1 [and now Rev 2 dated May 23, 2012] very clearly differentiate the 10 hour inspection interval as ONLY APPLYING TO THE MAGNETIC PLUG ALONE and not the "electrical chip detector".
The electrical chip detector will activate a warning light on the pilot's caution panel with any accumulation of fuzz or chips; the 10 hour inspection of the magnetic plug should not apply to the "electrical chip detector".
Please reword this AD to follow the EASA AD and Eurocopter's ASB to only require the 10 hour inspection interval for the nonelectric magnetic plug.
