This AD requires to replace contactors P/N ELM827-1 with ELM827-3 in P200 & P300 panels (total 3 EA). However, contactors in P100 panel (2 EA) still have P/N ELM827-1 installed. Also, GE SB 2000ELM-24-697 Rev 02 and 3000ELM-24-698 Rev 02 requires the removed contactors to be scrapped. Thus, the concerns are:
1. With pre-mod contactors P/N ELM827-1 still installed on P100 panel, operators are unable to purge the stock. This becomes difficult for operators to ensure in on-going maintenance the AD is complied.
2. The pre-mod contactors in P200 & P300 panels are considered serviceable after replacement. However, GE SB instructions require to scrap all removed contactors. This puts all cost burden to operators. Need to have inspection criteria for contactors to be accepted for serviceable.
