After reviewing the proposed amendments to raise the ceiling of the Detroit Class B airspace from the current 8,000 feet to 10,000 feet msl do not appear to be necessary or justified for safety or containment of aircraft.. The proposed changes put unnecessary restrictions on the GA community.
Many of the country’s busiest Class B airspaces function with ceilings lower than 10,000 feet.
I also disagree with the need for lateral expansion of Class B airspace sectors to 30 nm, out from 25.
