Docket No. FAA-2012-0805
Directorate Identifier 2012-NM-117-AD
Related Costs: The proposed AD indicated that the estimated cost of currently required actions for U.S. operators is between $67,490 and $134,980 or between $170 and $340 per airplane and that rescinding AD 2009-22-13 would eliminate these costs. UAL believes that the cost would only be eliminated for airplanes that have not yet been inspected as required by AD 2009-22-13. Operators would have already incurred the inspection cost for airplanes that were already inspected as required by AD 2009-22-13. For operators that needed to replace MOV actuator P/N MA20A1001-1 with new MOV actuator P/N MA30A1001, the cost would be more. Cost of MOV actuator is $4,587 each or $50,457 per airplane (at 11 MOV actuators per airplane).
