Allegiant concurs with the proposed NPRM. As the compliance date of Airworthiness Directive 2008-06-03 is only 6 months away, Allegiant would request the FAA to prioritize this proposal to ensure 737 and 757 Operators are allowed the maximum amount of time to react to the regulatory requirement that is adopted. Due to the uncertainty this notice has brought to operators of the 737 and 757 aircraft, Allegiant would also ask the FAA to provide a global alternate method of compliance (AMOC) extending the compliance date of AD 2008-06-03 if it is determined that this NPRM is not adopted.
