This replacement of the oil pressure switch should be mandatory at the next inspection, whether it be a 100 hour inspection, or annual inspection, and depending upon age of the pressure switch, maybe even sooner. The cost looks to be under $150 for replacement labor costs, and compared to the loss of life and aircraft that WILL occur should a complete engine failure take place, there is no justification for any significant delays, especially considering the unpredictability of the time of failure for the defective switches. We all know they're going to fail at some point. Why take the chance.
It's foolhardy to play devils advocate with such an easy fix. Get it done, the sooner the better.
