Please find below the AIRBUS comments: Docket No. FAA-2012-1076; Directorate Identifier 2011-NM-274-AD AIRBUS Service Bulleting A320-53-1247 Revision 01 dated October 15, 2012 has been issued to add the check if the fastener is missing (attached copy). Thank you to mention 53-1247 R01 in the AD, giving the credit for already accomplishment of 53-1247 R00 original issue. We propose to amend the AD adding the check for missing fastener before the requirement for rototest inspection. Rototest inspection is required only when it is confirmed by the check that the fastener is missing. Please refer to EASA EUAD 2012-0132 (attached copy) where the AD wording - for a similar case - avoids any potential misinterpretation leading to unnecessary work. Thank you.
