Where in the U.S. Constitution is Congress given the authority to to create such an airworthiness directive? Furthermore, what part of our constitution makes any airworthiness directive constitutional? The goal of such rules is safe flight, but will the federal government really make flying any safer? Government has a strong hand in road/driving safety, yet it is far more dangerous than flying. The safety of its customers is the top priorty of the flight industry. Therefore, the proposed government regulation would be nothing more than a waste of taxpayer money.
