NPRM Requirement: Paragraph (o) states that “Inspect the door to determine the configuration, in
accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 737-52A-1153, dated
July 13, 2011.”
SWA Questions/Comments: SWA believes that the intent of the above portion of paragraph (o) can be
accomplished via records research in lieu of a physical inspection. The Accomplishment Instructions of
Boeing Service Bulletin 737–52A1153, dated July 13, 2011, only states to identify the aft cargo door
assembly part number. Neither physical inspection nor records research is specified.
SWA Proposed Solutions: Remove “Inspect the door to” from paragraph (o) of the proposed AD.
