After having reviewed the FAA AD 2012-26-15 (Docket No FAA-2012-1315, Directorate Identifier 2012-NM-191-AD) dated December 21, 2012 and opened for comments until February 25, 2013, please find here-below Airbus comments: 1) General comment affecting several paragraphs of the document: The reference of Airbus AOT for LR aircraft is wrong, it should be A34L002-12 instead of A34N001-12 (which is the correct AOT reference for SA aircraft). 2) General comment affecting several paragraphs of the document: Both AOTs are dated 04 December, 2012, and not 15 November 2012. 3) comment affecting several paragraphs including Summary, Supplementary information and AD § 2 (e) Remove “and could result in consequent loss of control of the aircraft”, main risk associated to erroneous air data parameters is mid air collision 4) § Differences between the AD and the Service Information Remove “Airbus Alert Operators Transmission (AOT) A34N001-12, including Appendices A and B, dated November 15, 2012, for Airbus Model A318/A319/A320/A321 series airplanes; and Airbus AOT A34N001-12, including Appendices A and B, dated November 15, 2012, for Airbus Model A330 series airplanes; does not specify any corrective action if the functional test of the ADM accuracy fails.”, AOT actually specify to perform repetitive tests until removal of affected ADMs (§ 4.2.3) 5) § Interim action Clarify that the manufacturer is Honeywell via the ADM product. 6) § (i) optional actions for Airbus and § (j) (3) Add A340 series airplanes in addition to A330 series as ADM could have been removed and installed on A340 and the same procedure can apply. 7) § (i) optional actions for Airbus Replace “(1) Do an ADM check” by “(1) Perform a LABEL CALL UP” Replace in (ii) and (iii) “do the ADM check specified in paragraph (i)(1) of this AD.” by “test again as specified in paragraph (i)(1) of this AD.”
