As a retired airline pilot and now a specialist on airspace matters I fully support the FAA's proposal to remove the Nashville Class C cut-out. The cut-out has no purpose now that the general aviation airport that was accommodated by the cut-out has closed.
Cut-outs should not compromise the standard Class C configuration unless there is a useful purpose for such cut-out. The cut-out at issue now serves no useful purpose; rather it serves as an unnecessary impediment to air carrier and business aviation operations at KBNA.
