All of the aviation industry has advanced tenfold + in the last few years. It is time to catch up with the rotorcraft certifications. The OEM's need a regulatory framework that can quickly adapt and respond to the new technologies without having to make regulatory changes every few years. Currently you only have two certification areas, normal and transport, but with the complexity of modern day rotorcraft, you need a better classification system. Using the current system only encourages OEM's to "amend" old type certificates rather than go to the computer to develop new more efficient greener products. By streamlining the regulations, you give a great benefit for everyone, operators, oem's, and regulators! Thank you for your consideration.
