I am in agreement with the ADs requirement and the adoption of EASAs finding to mandate AFMs and FCPCs updates and upgrades. Making the safety updates and upgrades might require some expense to users of the Airbus A330 and A340 series, but I think that the pitch and FDs malfunctions caused by FCPCs errors are serious enough to warrant the changes. I’ve read the 2002 Federal Aviation Regulations/Aeronautical Information Manual (FAR/AIM) Parts 1, 43, 61, 71, 73, 91, 97, 103, 105, 119, 135, 137, 141, 142, NTSB 830 and I understand that TRs and ADs are vital toward educating aviators and the like to safety compliances on regulation and procedural changes.
