I write in support of the contractor performance rating requirements. A properly designed system of rating is of utmost utility for buyers and sellers who don't know each other. Two general comments: 1. I believe that the design should very strongly consider and utilize the features that have survived in rating systems seen on eBay and Amazon. This leverages the results of their many years of evolution and experience. 2. More specifically, a very important feature is the ability of the seller to able to post a response to all (particularly negative) reviews. As well as the buyer to be able to revise a hasty evalutation for example due to a extenuating explanation heretofore unknown to her.
