Comments on the Proposed Ruling for Peach Crop Insurance Provisions Rule Change #3, New Section 2 I support the FCIC change to allow optional coverage levels for fresh and processed peaches within the same unit. I also support the added provision to allow optional units of coverage on non-contiguous land. Both of these changes will allow producers more flexibility in making management decisions on how to insure their crops. Rule Change #7, Redesignated Section 11I have serious concerns to the added paragraph that the insured must leave representative samples in the units. Peaches are EXTREMELY perishable, with a ripening period of only 10-14 days. Beyond that, the fruit will begin to breakdown and decay. Fruit left on trees provides an ideal environment for insect and disease infestation. Many units contain multiple varieties, ripening on different timelines. This practice of leaving samples would increase the likelihood of infection for neighboring varieties. Therefore I recommend this rule change
