This is an excellent proposal. Allowing foods to go through the FDA even when
they have already been declined is completely undermining the great
establishment that is the FDA. If the FDA has decided that a certain food is not
fit for consumption, than it is just not fit for human consumption and is
tainted. That product should not be allowed to enter the United States even from
another port. In addition, to prevent this kind of tainted food from entering in
the first place, the FDA should increase the percentage of food they inspect to
about 50 percent of the total food that enters this country. That way, the
agency can better detect when a supplier is trying to sneak tainted goods past
them.
