Upon reviewing the proposed exemption, I am not in favor of this proposal. I feel that the Tobacco Control Act that was revisited and signed on 06/22/2009 by President Obama had substantial evidence that smoking tobacco products does start in the adolesence years, and then carries over to adulthood. By allowing the Equivalence Requirements that are being proposed, I feel that the tobacoo companies would find a way to mask additives to tobacco products that may slide through or just be under the radar when tests are being done to prevent this type of ingredient. I feel strongly that the Tobacco Control Act should be continued as is, with no such endorsement and that if smoking continues to be portrayed negatively rather then a "cool" habit, this will start to stray teenagers from this possible fatal habit. By allowing this law, some of the additives that are being proposed"equivelant' maybe other addictive drugs that will make it harder for someone to quit smoking.
