The food industry needs to be held more accountable to caloric and nutritional intake in this era of fast and processed foods. The public has the right to be informed about what it is ingesting: for some, eating an ingredient can be deadly at worst, or cause digestive discomfort at he least. Presently there is a segment of the population which cannot "eat out" because of this very reason- no knowledge about specifics of the preparations- including use of the GMO category.
The more the public IS informed, the better their food choices may become, and obesity hopefully reduced.
