I have already seen vendor supply contracts incorporate language reserving the right to adjust their price in order to accomodate the new tax. I was under the impression that this new tax was not to be passed along to the purchaser or to the patient however, that is apparently not the case. Where healthcare organizations are forced to absorb the cost of the tax when their margins are already nearing an unsustainable level, then healthcare services to patients will by necessity be reduced or eliminated. The net result is that the patient will lose and quality healthcare will be diminished once again displaying that wen the government comes to "help" we all suffer.
