PennAg Industries Association Feed, Grain and Allied Industry Council supports the requirement to implement a hazard analysis and preventative controls.
The concept of improving safety and quality from all suppliers, foreign and domestic aligns with the goal of improving the safety of feed. The safety requirements would involve all parties engaged in safe feed production. We look forward to the report from the FDA transportation system evaluation.
Regarding transportation vessels, improving controls and systems to minimize hazards must be done. Again, the concept of improving the safety of feed and feed ingredient transportation is important. Regulations moving toward ensuring cleanliness are valuable.
