It is completely irresponsible to say there will be no environmental impacts for Genetically Engineered Atlantic Salmon, when the environmental impacts are completely obvious. The fish are not 100% sterile; in the large populations in fish farms, escapes are common, and fertile fish WILL escape to threaten the wild population. Large farms of these fish will contribute to antibiotic resistance as they are fed antibiotics along with their food. And the waste from the farms will continue to pollute the ocean in and around the farms. This is significant environmental impact and these fish must be banned.
