You are again regulating the small farmers out of a job. The cost to do business and certification creates a financial loss. The farmer obsorbes all the costs with no increase in pay by the end user. It just costs us more to do business. We have made changes on our farm to make harvesting of our food product safer on our own. Why can't that be enough.
You should require the same regulations on food products being imported. It seems nobody cares how the head of lettuce or grapes are handled when it is imported. The consumer just sees that the price is cheaper to buy.
