My dear sir/madam, I and many other consumers have a need to see what is in our food. Proper, precise, truthful labeling is a must. In a recent newscast, it was reported that cattle are now being fed candy. Due to the shortage of Monsantos' GMO corn. It was stated that the cattle are gaining weight at a unprecedented rate. The main ingredient in candy is GMO/high fructose corn product. It is logical that this product is also causing the epidemic of obesity in humans. Now, the meat is being tainted with high fructose. It was already being tainted with genetically modified corn. Corn/high fructose is not a natural food for any animal. It has little if any nutritional value. It is good for weight gain only. All products should be labeled so as to give the consumer a choice. Anderson Dairy, in Las Vegas, NV adds high fructose product to their chocolat milk. It Is labeled. Coloring & taste enhancers need to be on labels in detail. I believe President Obama did make a promise to get truthful labeling on our food-stuffs. Thus far it has not happened. Chickens are cooled in a chlorine bath. It does get in the meat. It is not labeled. Thank You for your time and the opportunity to comment.
