I am in support of listing "Added Sugars" to food label Nutrition Facts panel. Consumers are confused about the source of sugar listed on food labels when naturally occurring sugars in food ingredients like grains, dairy, vegetables and fruits are included in total sugars. Separate sugars in food ingredients from added sugars from sucrose, high fructose corn syrup and other added sweeteners. The food label already separates fiber as carbohydrate.
If consumers are to effectively follow the Dietary Guidelines, then added sugars must be separated from total sugar on Nutrition Facts panel.
