last note was only one line. more needs be said, I am addiction md immersed in the center of the action as everyplace is. I have in treatment a 23 y/o woman who came to me pregnant and addicted to hydrocodone. in treatment she is in fine recovery and her baby is fine. he is named after her late dad, the baby's grandfather. he begged always his md to rx hydrocodone, swearing his pain was so bad and he would never misuse or be addicted. the doc rxed only 7.5 mg 3 x/day and only 3 weeks at a time. his girl friend told the world "he died in my arms" , as the 2 were using together a mix of all they could get. unless you are here (ie everywhere) where it is going on, you can have no idea . these pills are everyeverywhere, they must all be gotten off the streets. all of them out there were supposedly rxed mainly for chronic pain but sure go other places, opioid pills are all out there everywhere and all are used in whatever mix, there is no distinction out there and all addict and kill. my patients tell me," I want to stop using but I cant because my girl/boy friend wont, everyone I know Is on pills, pills are everywhere, it is crazy in Spokane, it is crazy in Yakima, it is crazy in butte, it is crazy in Helena, it is crazy in great falls" --wildfire fighters going out on a truck throw them down by handfulls moms use together while standing in the yard watching their kids play together, a woman called me because she was unable to produce a clean urine even under the threat that one more dirty ua would send her to prison for 4 years...please please fda do something please do anything
