Thresholds are not even something to consider. The message is clear, zero tolerance strict avoidance. See this study http://download.journals.elsevierhealth.com/pdfs/journals/0091-6749/PIIS0091674912017022.pdf - fact that food allergy thresholds are ever changing and unpredictable, thus unsafe. The food allergy community needs better labeling including may contains statements. Canada is leading the way in this area o flea belong and manufacturing safety measures. The U.S. can follow their lead. Thresholds would create increased risk, not to mention less trust from consumers - thus decrease in sales for manufacturers.
