Regulatory Affairs Legal Division Office of Chief Counsel Federal Emergency Management Agency Room 835 500 C Street SW Washington, DC 20472-3100 RE: Comments of the NFIP Notice of Intent to Prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement; Docket ID FEMA-2012-0012 To Whom It May Concern: On behalf of the members of the National Association of Realtors, I write to request that the comment and scoping period for the Notice of Intent to Prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the National Flood Insurance Program be extended beyond the July 16'^ 2012 deadline. We make this request because, due to the recent reform and five year reauthorization legislation of the National Flood Insurance Program that just passed Congress, the content of this new law will significantly affect this EIS process. It will take FEMA time to assess these changes and how they might affect this EIS process. Thank you for your consideration of these comments and we look forward to commenting more fully on the EIS.
