Real-Time System Management Information Program

Virginia DOT submission is attached. While we support the goal of real time traffic information, funding for the needed capital investment, long term operation and maintenance of the service and assets and repalcement costs.Other important technical issues must be addresed. One of the overarching issues is to be able to demonstrate the cost effectiveness of investing in making the information available to the public, how this information affects traveler decisions,and to what extent does it reduces congestion and provides other benefits.
