What provisions are being made to allow for corrections to errors in reporting violations by enforcement officers. With all of the similarities in sub-systems, It will be very easy for officers to flag the wrong violation. The corresponding points for one violation can be one number different from a similar violation but have a higher point value. As a company driver, I cannot make decisions regarding major repairs. When the company tells me to "bring it on in, and we'll fix it here, not on the road!", and I get inspected, and the issue is found and a violation issued, it's my name on the ticket, and the points go to my score, not the company's, I am penalized for following the instructions of my boss. He does't have a CDL, and could care less if I get points on my score. My message is this: Enforcement is not perfect ( they make mistakes too!), and company drivers are against the wall ( we have to comply with our boss's orders or get reprimanded or fired ) and from what I have read, no one at FMCSA has considered correcting errors in this entire Initiative. Errors are going to be made, and provisions must be included that allow for corrections to be made in an efficent and timely manner. Thanks for your time reading this.
