The proposed changes to the current HOS are unnecessary and without just cause. Both truck related fatalities and injuries have decreased dramatically since the inception of the current HOS was implemented. There are less and less renegade drivers on the road and more concsious and curtious drivers. Also, going forward with the proposed changes would cause more strain on the current state of the economy. It in effect would cause the costs to rise even further to ship goods that are essential to everyday living.
