Hours of Service of Drivers

View Comment

the current H.O.S are working as they were design to.10 hrs off gives drivers plenty of time for a shower and a meal and still get 8hrs + sleep.Reducing off time to 8hrs puts drivers at risk by giving up one to two hrs sleep .34 hrs restart is plenty of time for a driver to get two full nights of rest and a full day of rest.By extending the restart to 48+ hrs is over kill and what are drivers going to do stuck at a truck stop? Not all truck stops offer services that we need for long periods of time It can cause overcrowding in rest areas and truck stops. Improving drivers safety is a must and going to E-LOGS will force both company and drivers to comply with H.O.S regulations. We also need to make sure drivers stay on a sleep cycle that is consistence every day. PLEASE DON,T CHANGE THE H.O.S THEY WILL WORK WITH E-LOGS THANK YOU JAMES PAUL BRYANT
