This is comment on Proposed Rule

Hours of Service of Drivers

View Comment

The hours of service regulations are good the way they stand. The carriers development of pattern runs, dedicated runs, and runs that fit into the current reugulations would be disrupted. It is the carriers creativity and the current regulations combined that have created the safest enviroment yet for drivers to work. The changes in the curent regulation are not based on any science or logic and will create a less safe enviroment for the drivers and the public. The disruption of a working system will also add needless cost to the carrier. These changes are being proposed by people who do not have real experienced in transportaton of goods. If yopu really want to make changes that count faine the drivers for violations. Currently drivers can get serious violations on ROADSIDES and they are not fined. You hole the carrier responsible and the drivers do not really take it serious. Thank You
