To whom concern: I am writing in response to the revisions that is set froth to change HOS for transportation. Changing the HOS will result in much hardship and will result in unsafe operation for trucking companies. Companies have to meet the demands of their customers and to retain the customers trucking companies have a responsibility and duty to service. This will force trucking companies to put more drivers on the road which is great right. One need to consider trucking is a life style and takes time to fully educate and show a new driver how to operation a tractor trailer. One should think we do not need a family hurt on America's highways due to trucking companies being forced to chooose between quality drivers or inexperience to meet a customer needs. Trucking companies have come along way to impliment safety into their policies. The public is every driver responsibility to keep safe but as one knows trucking in itself is an industry America needs. If rules should change stores could have empties stocks and christmas and other holidays could suffer as well. The current rules help to maintain a functioning transportation system. Changes in the HOS will cost more and force companies to cut driver benefits. I think all companies are headed in the right direction as far as safety is concern. Drivers now can be fired for having preventable accidents and that is great because companies will not be forced to keep an unsafe driver. The CSA2010 was great and is working. I plead with you not to change the HOS this will cause more jobs if customers can't get their products and cause more load claims for insurance companies should inexperience drivers increase the accident ratio in the trucking industry. I hope my comments are consider. We owe it to America to keep freight moving smoothly and meet the demands required for each store and etc.. Let's stick to keeping jobs and growing them.
