I personally like the 11 hours of driving time as they are right now; by cutting the drive time back to 10 hours it's gonna take drivers longer to reach their destinations and therefore delay freight.
If anything we should be able to extend the drive time by 1/2 hour if needed to reach our destination if we are delayed due to bad roads, construction, or anything else we may encounter at any time period of our driving not just at the end of our driving time.
I also would like to say that by living and working in Western WA. that our company goes to Spokane a lot and right now we can go there and back with 11 hours of driving; with the new proposed rule we would have to spend extra money on a hotel which could put a burden on drivers that drive day cabs.
If anything we should be able to "stop" the clock and take a break or lunch but should not have to have all work done in 13 hours. If we are allowed 14 hours in a day and we take a break or lunch then we should be able to extend our day by any time that we took a break; if we take 1/2 hour for lunch then we could extend our day by 1/2 hour.
