I belive that the 34 hour re-start is great, it will help cost to cost drivers, and their companies. However, the 11 hours of driving has been abused by companies. They have added up to 200 miles of driving and other work to the driver. This should be returned to 10 hours, to allow a driver time to rest if he needs it, and not drive fatigued. Being more realistic trucks can not go that fast, 200 mph, and if they could there is no place to drive them. They should only be allowed to place additional mileage, baised on the miles per hour that the law, and the trucks allow. Most company trucks have been turned down so as not to run fast. Companies need to make a profit, but they should be just as concerned with the health, and safety of their drivers. After all, the trucks can not drive themselfs, at least not yet.
