The trucking industry should move into the 21st century and allow the electronic signature of the driver. It is allowed in credit card transactions on the internet and that is more critical than any other transaction we encounter. The ability to use the electronic signature would make it more convenient for the driver and most of them would use the system if that were the case. This would be a prime example of paper reduction in the system we encounter daily in the trucking industry.
