my comments are simple, First off I cannot imagine any practicing Doctor that is so incompetent that they cannot only perform a DOT physical but they probably have at least a grade school education and should be able to fill out the dot forms. And here is another great example of where President Obamas mandate to reduce unnecessary rules and regulation that are unnecessary and hinder business in THIS Country. finding and then traveling perhaps many miles to find a doctor to do my DOT physical will hinder my business taking extra time and I am sure cost more money. My family Doctor also know my history and is much more aware of my physical condition than some strange doctor that is only after running a Dot physical mill and profiteering from a mandate that will give no choice but to go to their mill and pay whatever blood money they decide to charge, this proposal will do nothing to improve safety, it will just line the pockets of what few doctors decide to put up with the crap it will take to get DOT authorized, and in the process just cost me and all truckers more of our already slim profits.
