Limiting the Use of Wireless Communication Devices

We advocate this rule. Texting while in operation is prohibited by Transit Coach Operators. Additionally, this includes the Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) that we use in our American with Disabilities Act/Dial-A-Ride (ADA/DAR) Paratransit Service. ADA/DAR Operators are commercial drivers and we prohibit the use of the texting feature on the MDT computer aided system while in operatioon along with all other types of wireless communication devices.
